SCHEDULE OF UPCOMING TECH BEAT ARTICLES

See what articles are coming up for publication in the Tech Thursday section of the Times-Standard, and see what openings are available for RTC members to submit entries for consideration. These articles now run in TWO other local newspapers in the same week: the Redwood Times in Garberville and the Humboldt Beacon in Fortuna.

Interested members should submit a 500-800 word article to Rene Agredano or to Chris Crawford, and they will help with editing and content. Or, create a shared project and invite editors of your choice.

This is the TECH BEAT SCHEDULE for June 2008 through July 2008. RTC members are welcome to submit articles for publication weekly in the Tech Thursday section of the Times-Standard, with occasional publication in the Redwood Times and Humboldt Beacon newspapers. The "rules of engagement" are provided following the schedule.

TECH BEAT Rules of Engagement

Articles should be 500 - 800 words

include jargon, be sure to explain it.

It's okay to write about how your company utilizes technology, but
please, no blatant sales pitches.

Include a short 1-2 sentence bio/company description at the end

Send a photo of yourself if you haven't already done so

Send your finished article to Rene Agredano (rene@agreda.com) , or Chris Crawford (crawfordca@aol.com)

Rene and Chris will edit your article if it doesn't fall within the
maximum word count, then submit it to the Times Standard,
Humboldt Beacon and Redwood Times
.
