We are seeking strong Network Operations Engineers with experience operating a globally deployed infrastructure in 24/7 environment.

StreamGuys Operations Engineers are responsible for maintaining and operating our global infrastructure 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Other responsibilities include performing top-level troubleshooting on StreamGuys globally deployed infrastructure. You will also work with StreamGuys Network Engineers, infrastructure vendors and developers to perform analysis of hardware, software, and network problems to expedite problem resolution.

Responsibilities

  a.. Serve as primary escalation point for identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving network problems 
  b.. Create tools and scripts for monitoring StreamGuys global infrastructure 
  c.. Perform system administration on StreamGuys global infrastructure 
  d.. Perform software installations to the network 
  e.. Solve complex issues related to various components of our infrastructure 
  f.. Develop and document procedures for problem resolution 
  g.. Manage troubleshooting to isolate network performance issues as they arise 
  h.. Provide notification to the company during network issues 
  i.. Work closely with Network Engineers and System Administrators regarding technology and hardware upgrades 
Requirements

  a.. Strong network engineering experience - router configuration, IP tables, BGP 
  b.. Solid understanding of advanced networking and Internet principles, especially DNS, HTTP, and TCP/IP 
  c.. Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  d.. 3-5 years experience in system administration, network engineering 
  e.. Solid Linux administrative experience 
  f.. Knowledge of shell scripting, and command line tools 
  g.. Distributed systems experience 
  h.. VMware experience a desired asset
