A snippet from telecom publication Telecompetitor. Looks like the free
Obama money won't be rolling-in quite as soon as some had hoped...


The broadband stimulus program has been delayed. It looks like the first
funding round won’t commence until December 2009. This was revealed in a
Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP) quarterly report to
Congress. The now December timeframe for grant distribution was originally
believed to be scheduled for sometime this summer.
