Hi All,
After a day of microfilm frustration I thought I would reach out to the List for help. Our microfilm machines at the Humboldt County Library are heavily used but replacement or a new purchase is not currently within our budget. Do you know of any machines which may not be in use and would be available for a very low price?...we'd even take a donation if you insisted!! Many of our patrons use the printer components of these machines as well but we would be happy with just another reader. Perhaps someone has one gathering dust somewhere ~ I figure I'll never know if I don't ask! As of now we have a sufficient number of microfiche readers but we could really use another machine for microfilm. The readers are used for periodicals backfiles, County Assessor records, older Eureka City Council Minutes, census rolls, etc. If you can help or provide a lead please contact me, Kitty Yancheff, Public Services Librarian, at 707-269-1930. Thank you!
