My error. I figured she meant megabytes, especially given the question I'd
asked and her statement that she was having speed problems and got her cable
modem swapped out.

same idea with Kilo. 

I understand; generally people are sloppy about the abbreviations and it
causes endless confusion.  However I asked very explicitly about megabytes
versus megabits and the tech person on the phone assured me it was
megabytes.  Also, Tina Nerat reports downloads of about 6 megabytes/second
in Cutten.  So I'm pretty sure they mean MegaBytes.
