I have full functionality in the Humboldt area for over 5 years now. I added a data package when I got the G1 and both have been problem-free. The only drawback I can find is that when I call my voicemail it will not automatically log me in - so I'm forced to enter my pin everytime. Other than that I've been quite pleased with Tmobile.

After looking at the Tmobile site about roaming, it seems that one is not subject to roaming within ones home state. But I'm not sure I fully understood it either.
