Hi Julie,

What you want to be doing, is to use an actual listserver, which is
a special email server arrangement that puts your addresses under the
control of a dedicated system that handles the deliveries of messages
for you. This takes the burden off your personal pc, and as well as
eliminates the limitations you are experiencing (which are in place to
prevent spam and general email abuse by unsuspecting end users who have
become spam sending zombies). Most listserve's have many features that
ease the administration of the list, including automating list
subscriptions/deletions, archivings, and more. Also most listserve's are
hosted on server computers that have the resources to deal with
thousands and tens of thousands of mail messages and so forth.

I would ask your ISP if they support listservs and take advantage of
it if so.
