I hope this is not an intrusion.
I have Suddenlink ISP and have been trying to get my WGT624 (802.11G) Netgear router to email the log to me.
I tried everything that I could think of.
I recently bought a Netgear WNR834B (802.11N) router and discovered that it had a "My mail server requires authentication" selection and when I selected it and provided the proper info, everything worked as hoped. The other router had no such selection.
When I look at the settings from my old Cox Outlook-Express email accounts, the "My mail server requires authentication" is not selected, whereas my current Suddenlink email accounts have that box checked.
Can someone tell me why this change (if it really did) happened?
I have checked with Netgear and they tell me there is no software upgrade to add this into the WGT624 router.
Does anyone know of a workaround to allow me to use the emailing-of-the-log feature in the WGT624 router?
Regards
James Topping
