[RTC List] Help with B&W negatives

I need some help converting B&W negatives to digital images.  Does  
anyone out there either have a scanner with software to handle this or  
can they suggest where I can go to get them converted?  I have a bunch  
of old B&W negatives and I need to convert them to digital images and  
would appreciate some advice.  I plan to eventually get a slide &  
negative scanner, but until then I need to get them done somewhere  
locally.  All suggestions (and costs) would be appreciated.  If you  
have the equipment, can I come to you place and do it on my computer  
(PC or Mac) or do you need to do it for me?  Thanks for any assistance.
