Hi William,
I rather agree with you. This didn't even blip our radar either on our
servers, or with support requests from clients on their own machines/office
networks.
Frankly, yes, the hype is typically worse than the damage. If folks take
even easy steps to protect themselves, these things are typically no
problem.
For those with networks with a higher risk of collateral damage, you might
want to seriously have your networks scanned regularly by a Qualified
Security Assessor, such as TrustWave.
