[RTC List] Broadband in the Rural Economy

Quick update from the "Broadband in the Rural Economy" conference in 
Washington DC today and tomorrow.
looking at common issues across the nation with regard to rural and 
micropolitan broadband.

Lots of expert research and economic analysis from leaders in the field. 

This morning's keynote speaker made a fascinating comment:  "There is 
less competition in California than any other state."

Also, a clear theme has already emerged - the data available is not 
complete, detailed, reliable nor comprehensive...
So thoughtful analysis by public agencies and public policy makers has 
been effectively hindered by private and proprietary interests.

All the more reason that we need to leverage the research efforts of 
Redwood Coast Connect!
