 When in doubt, call 'em up. It's one of the perks of using a local
provider. This morning I heard a generic recording about mail server
problems, but I didn't bother to stay on the line. Inbound e-mail is
fine, but outbound is kaput.

 In the meantime, set up a Gmail account, then click Settings >
Accounts and configure your "Send mail as" options. You can send mail
out using Gmail's web interface while presenting your FROM address as
username at humboldt1.com.
