Some of you have noted that the instructions for voting for "Local
Network Stimulus: A 'Green' Broadband Policy" at Change.Org were not
clear.

Here's a more direct path:

Go to: http://www.change.org/ideas . . . Look for the search
tool at the top right, and enter "local network".

This "idea for change" is currently ranked 16th in the Technology Policy
group! It needs to finish among the top three by Dec. 31 to move on to
the next round. Finalists will be presented to the Obama administration
on Jan. 20!

Shifting taxpayer-support from absentee-owned, Wall Street-accountable
telecom networks to community-owned, locally-accountable networks is
within our grasp!! This is NOT an abstract, theoretical strategy.
Many of these local networks already exist. Many others have been
planned.

We may never have such an opportuntiy to build our own grassroots,
media infrastructure! Instead of tinkering with the corporate
system, we can build our own! Please vote for this change at Change.org!
