Most people don't know it, but PG&E is currently planning to manage all of
the local power grid and manage power production and distribution, starting
next year, by, guess what, none other than our high speed internet
connections. The powers-that-be within the company, making those decisions,
think that it would be far more effiecient to manage all those split-second
decisions from the San Francisco area, rather than with computers locally
managed.

Time to wake up, folks. Contact the Times-Standard and the Eureka Reporter
with your horror stories. Let the media know. Don't let the editors of those
newspapers off the hook. That should heat things up a bit for those whose
careers are dependent upon making the right decisions.
