We knew this was coming. We’ve all been waiting and wishing for something like this. We knew that eventually someone would figure it out, how to develop an innovative, stunning technology that diminishes, or completely breaks, our dependence on foreign oil and in so doing, changes the world. Well, lament no more about the high cost of gas, my friends, because there’s a new fuel in town, and it’s making great waves—literally. What is this new, magic fuel that will surely change life as we know it? Water.
Yes, water. Water, the cleanest, safest, and least expensive (at least, for now) fuel possible. Yep, water, the very substance of life itself. In a riveting segment aired on Fox 26 News, the world met the man behind the water-as-fuel technology, Denny Klein. His company, Hydrogen Technology Applications, Inc. (www.hytechapps.com), was born in 1997. Initially, Klein, a welder, wanted to find an alternative to using unstable and toxic industrial gasses employed in welding. After years of research and testing, he did it, and what he ended up with is nothing short of miraculous.
Klein’s welder can cut through metal with amazing speed, cause a ball of brass to glow red hot within thirty second, burn a hole through brick, and perform other amazing feats, all with nothing but water as fuel. The welder uses a process of electrolysis to convert the water molecules into a gas. And despite the fact that Klein’s torch can quickly cut through the toughest materials with 10,000 degrees of intensity, the tip of the welder stays cool to the touch. Best of all, the machine’s byproduct is nothing but—you guessed it—water. Yes, Denny Klein has figured out how to turn H20 into HHO, and, as it turns out, has answered another of the world’s problems.
Not satisfied with merely revolutionizing the welding industry, Klein’s company quickly saw an opportunity to apply their patented Aquygen™ technology to vehicles. They developed two prototype vehicles and have proven that this technology is what we’ve all been waiting for. Mr. Klein’s Ford Escort, which is now a water/gas hybrid uses a mere 4 oz of water per 100 mile trip. The Hydrogen Technology Applications, Inc. Web site states “With the development of our Hybrid Hydrogen Oxygen System (HHOS), we found that Aquygen™ Gas can be used as a primary fuel source or a fuel additive for gasoline and diesel engines. We have applied this breakthrough method in two prototype vehicles, experiencing an increase in gas mileage of up to 30 percent, and an increase in horsepower.”
How would this technology change life on the North Coast? It would do nothing less than increase the profits of every business using it. It would help to keep our area the way we like it: pristine, healthy, wild, and beautiful. It would revolutionize how welders and other metal fabrication shops here do business. It would give us all more money in our pockets, which means more of us get to stay in Humboldt where we’re happiest, but struggling. It would give us a forward-thinking, vital, and healthy technology that’s not only good for people, it’s good for the environment.
Water as fuel for the world’s machines. What a concept. But, as we’ve learned, this is no longer just an idea. Here we stand on the very brink of an awe-inspiring, tremendous change. Will we continue to use fossil fuel and damage the environment, or will we give our money to Mr. Klein for cleaner, safer, high-powered hybrids or eventually, pure hydrogen vehicles? Will we walk forward and find out more about this technology and be the first county to wholly embrace it, as in, putting the stuff into every county vehicle? Or, will we settle back into our work-a-day lives and wait for it to come to us (meanwhile missing the crest of the wave)?
One of the biggest problems facing us—fossil fuel and its cost to the environment and mankind—is no longer a problem with the Aquygen™ Gas technology. The biggest problem we have now is how to protect Denny Klein and his wonderful work so that all of us can benefit from it. Let’s be the first county to get behind this man’s work and set the standard. Let’s get lawmakers on board and asking questions. Let’s get people with power to fly out to the Tampa area and get the full Hydrogen Technology Applications demonstration. Let’s imagine what Humboldt County businesses could do with all the money and fuel they save. Let’s jump into the water!
